Brownies should be fudgy with no nuts. I prefer mine with no glaze or topping, although as a pastry chef many people ask me to make frosted brownies. Homemade rules! Always. I think that would be my dessert of choice for my last meal - the perfect brownie.

My favorite type of brownie is fudgy, w/out nuts. Besides homemade, I like Dancing Deer brownies (from Boston or just outside Boston).

Brownies are my very favorite! I didn't know about the origins and now think Mrs. Palmer's birthday should be celebrated as a national holiday.

I think they should be fudgy instead of cakey with no nuts. Chips or add-ins are okay to add occassionally, but plain with lots of chocolate flavor, whether it's bittersweet, dark, or milk, is the best way to go. Cocoa powder is a great way to deepen the chocolate taste. They shouldn't need icing either.

I'll try almost any brownie put in front of me but, unfortuately, most aren't all that good. Finding the perfect brownie is a worthwhile lifelong quest!

Those buns are way too sweet. When I've tried one, I thought I should be driving to my Dentist. I tend not to like too sweet of a breakfast, and save something sweet for an evening dessert. :)

I avoid cinnabons because it's just way too much sugar. I have a sweet tooth to be sure, but have learned to make it worthwhile when I indulge.

We recently found a new cupcake bakery nearby and thought we'd be in trouble since it is so close but after trying some of their wares decided that they were too sweet, with too much icing. That's a good thing because now it'll be easier to stay away.

My favorite breakfast is old fashioned cheerios which are low in sugar and fat but good in fiber and carbs. Add some fresh fruit (blueberries and peaches preferably) and your day starts out great!

I often am enticed by the warm sweet spices of those buns too. This post is a good reminder that homemade is the way to go. Your teeth were probably tingly from the high corn syrup content. Oy!

I love creme brulee, and agree it seems to take much work and time to make it just right. However, every mouthful is worth it.
